A man from Nantwich who police were keen to trace in connection with allegations of robbery and serious assault has been arrested.

Patrick O’Connor, of King Place, Nantwich, was found and arrested in Torquay following a police appeal.

Cheshire Police have confirmed the 39-year-old has been and charged with a number of offences.

After extensive enquiries by officers, along with information from members of the public, O′Connor was arrested by officers in Torquay on Wednesday November (12).

O′Connor has now been charged with false imprisonment, kidnapping, robbery, assault and perverting the course of justice.

He was due to appear at South Cheshire Magistrates Court today (Friday November 14).

Inspector Bob Hassall said: “Information from the public is vital and I would like to thank the public for the support that we have received in this case.”
