Youngsters at a Nantwich high school have created their own “poppy field” as part of Remembrance Day celebrations.
The year 7 students from Brine Leas Academy created the field during a residential stay at the Menai Centre, in Wales.
Each poppy was individually researched and contains details about a person who served in World War One.
Some were their own relatives, or people known to their family or friends.
And when they returned to Nantwich, the pupils laminated the poppies which were ‘planted’ in front of the school on Audlem Road.
A Brine Leas spokesperson said: “In the week of October 20-24, our Year 7 students enjoyed a fun-filled activity residential in Menai.
“During this week the students created these amazing poppies which were used to create our version of the glass poppies.
“I’m sure you will agree they look fantastic.”
