Firefighters will be rolling into Nantwich to offer drivers free car checks before the winter sets in.
Along with partner agencies, fire crews will be carrying out free safety checks as part of their continuing campaign for safer roads in Cheshire.
Tyres will be checked for bulges, tyre depth and pressure, and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service mechanics will show drivers how to check oil and water levels, and explain the importance of maintaining these levels.
Every driver who has a vehicle check will get a winter driving pack which includes safety leaflets, tyre pressure and depth gauges and a torch.
It will take place in Nantwich on Wednesday October 22 between 10am and 1pm at Sainsbury’s on Middlewich Road.
Frances Egerton, fire service road safety officer, said: “It’s important to be prepared in case bad weather strikes.
“Engaging with drivers across Cheshire to advise them on safer driving in wintery conditions is an important part of our road safety campaigning.
“Our drive to cut road traffic collisions and incidents and I’m hoping people will take the time to have their cars checked by our crews.”
