Barbara Fleet, Richmond Village

One of Richmond Nantwich’s longest serving members of staff retired this week after working for the retirement village and care home since it opened 18 years ago.

Receptionist Barbara Fleet started when the village was first built on St Joseph’s Way and has seen many changes over the years.

Lynne Griffin, Village Manager, said: “We will all miss Barbara.

“I am so used to seeing and hearing Barbara chatting to people on reception that it will seem strange without her.

“We all wish her a very happy retirement.”

Debbie Mercandelli, hospitality manager, added: “We hope Barbara will come back and see all of us, though I know she has lots of ideas on how to spend the coming years with her husband David who has also retired recently – holidays being just one of them!”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
