A51 Bypass crash

A man was seriously injured when his motorbike collided with a bus in Nantwich.

The accident happened at the junction of the A51 London Road and the B5071 Crewe Road, by the Boar’s Head pub.

The motorbike rider, a 54-year-old man who has not been named, with serious arm and other injuries.

Police had to close the B5071 between the A51 and Park Lane at Hunsterson Lane in Hatherton while they cleared the wreckage and carried out a scene examination.

Paramedics took the injured motorcyclist to hospital for further treatment.

No further injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
