A further two men have been charged in relation to an incident in Wistaston involving the alleged kidnap and serious assault of a 35-year-old Crewe man.

Lloyd Turner, aged 50, from Charlton Avenue, in Hereford, has been charged with kidnap, section 18 assault and robbery.

Patrick Barrett, aged 37, from Frank Bott Avenue, in Crewe, has been charged with section 18 assault and robbery.

Both men appeared at South Cheshire Magistrates Court on Saturday (September 6) and were remanded in custody until a date is set for their trial.

Two men were charged last week with kidnapping following the same alleged incident at a property on Crewe Road, Wistaston on August 30.

They were Matthew Clark, aged 28, (no fixed abode)from the Crewe area, and Robert Higson, aged 32, from Monks Lane in Crewe.

A Nantwich woman who was also arrested as part of the same inquiry has been bailed pending further inquiries.
