A man was badly beaten in a “serious and sustained” attack linked to a house in Wistaston, near Nantwich.

The victim, aged 35, is being treated in hospital after the assault.

Police and forensic teams were seen by neighbours yesterday (September 2) at a property in Crewe Road, Wistaston which is connected with the attack.

They say the attack happened at 8.15pm on Saturday August 30.

A police spokesman said: “Patrols have been stepped up in the area and neighbourhood officers are providing reassurance to local residents.

“Anyone with any issues or concerns is urged to speak to a local officer.”

Officers are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 567 of 30th August.
