A man has been seriously injured after his car smashed into am electricity pylon near Shavington.
Fire crews from Nantwich and Crewe had to cut the man free following the accident on Newcastle Road in Hough.
The vehicle had left the road and ploughed into the pylon at about 5.15pm yesterday (Saturday August 30).
Crews worked alongside paramedics to give first aid to a man who was in a serious condition at the scene.
He was then handed to the care of the ambulance service an taken to hospital for treatment.
An investigation is underway into the cause of the crash.
