richmond village and armed forces day

Richmond Village Nantwich held its annual Summer Fayre when over 450 balloons were released into the sky in aid of Cancer Research.

Craft and gift stalls donated a prize for the raffle which helped to boost the total raised to nearly £1,500.

An evening of food and entertainment followed with guests including Nantwich Town Mayor Christine Farrall and her consort David.

There was a hog roast and barn dancing with The Acme Band and professional caller Norma.

Debbie Mercandelli, Richmond Village hospitality manager, said: “It has been a busy, but thoroughly enjoyable day which we have all thoroughly enjoyed.”

Nicola Tooke, Richmond Village advisor, added: “We are thrilled at the success of the day and also that both Cllr Farrall and guests from Crewe Senior Forum came along to “Do-zi-Doh with their partners.

“We would like to say a huge “Yee-hah!”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
