Peckforton Castle near Nantwich has been highly commended at the prestigious VisitEngland 2014 Awards.
The venue earned the honour in the Large Hotel of the Year category.
A highly commended award is a considerable achievement and recognises Excellence in Tourism in England.
Peckforton was presented with their award at a glittering ceremony at The Jockey Club at Cheltenham Racecourse earlier this month.
James Berresford, VisitEngland chief executive, said: “It is a great achievement to win a highly commended award in a field of very high quality applications.
“The award places Peckforton Castle in the top five businesses for excellence in their category in England. I warmly congratulate them on this achievement.”
Peckforton Castle received their award from John Hoy, VisitEngland board member and chairman of the judging panel.
Peckforton director of sales and marketing Matthew Naylor said: “This is our second year picking up the highly commended award for Large Hotel of the Year.
“The category contained some the best large hotels in the country and we felt privileged to be among them and to be a part of the awards once again.”
