A51 Bypass crash

A busy road near Nantwich was shut for almost two hours after a two-vehicle car smash left one man in hospital.

The accident happened on the A530 Middlewich Road at about 1pm today (March 4).

Fire crews from Nantwich and Crewe were called out to help cut one of the trapped drivers free from the wreckage.

The incident involved two saloon vehicles.

The road was fully closed in both directions as paramedics tended to the casualty and firefighters cut the roof from the car to get him out.

The victim was then taken to hospital by ambulance. It’s not clear how bad his injuries are at this stage.

The road was re-opened at around 3pm.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
