Residents and businesses in Nantwich can find out more this week about the roll out of high-speed fibre broadband in Cheshire.

Connecting Cheshire will enable 80,000 premises to tap into high-speed fibre broadband over the next 18 months.

And experts behind the roll out programme will be in Wrenbury, Nantwich, on Wednesday February 19 to discuss how it will impact this area.

BT Openreach staff aim to explain the technical and logistical challenges, plus there will be information and maps showing where and when the new services will be arriving.

Information on the free superfast business support programme will also be available.

The telephone exchange covering Aston, Wrenbury, Newhall, and Sound will be among the first to benefit from upgrades to fibre from the end of March onwards.

Cllr David Brown, Deputy Leader of Cheshire East Council, said: “I urge everyone to attend this event to learn more about the benefits of faster broadband, which will transform how we work, how we learn, how we communicate with friends or family and how we entertain ourselves.

“The digital age is with us – so let’s exploit it.”

The drop-in event takes place at Wrenbury Village Hall, on Cholmondeley Road, between 4pm and 8pm.

Other exchanges to get the upgrade later this year cover parts of Audlem, Wychwood Park, Hough, Stapeley, Crewe Green, Barthomley, Wistaston, Acton and Wybunbury.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
