Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

  1. Power was finally restored to homes and the school on Broad Lane at 03:00 on Friday 14th February.

As a result of the storm on Wednesday, there were 5 fallen trees partially blocking Broad Lane, along a half mile stretch. Given the high volume of traffic resulting from London Road and M6 closures, and the speeds that vehicles were travelling, it is a wonder that there wasn’t at least one serious accident due to vehicles swerving into oncoming traffic to avoid the trees!
