A specialist music show hosted by Nantwich-based The Cat radio has been nominated for a top award.

“Monday Morning Blues”, which is broadcast from The Cat’s studio om Frederick Street, has been nominated in the “Blues Matters” magazine writer’s poll.

The show, co-presented by Kev “Legs” Walker and Jen Van-Cauter, is broadcast between 11am and 1pm every Monday.

It is in the running for the “Best Blues Radio Show/Station” category.

Kev said: “Just to be nominated is an honour, and a thrill.

“To be mentioned in the same breath as the legendary Paul Jones is one of the highlights of my life.

“I think what makes the show, is the variety of blues we play and, of course, the inane banter from Jen and myself.

“To get this far is truly exciting.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
