Nantwich Cricket Club will open their 2014 campaign with an away trip to Toft.

The 2014 Cheshire County Premier League fixtures were issued this week, earlier than ever before.

And Nantwich will be keen to get off to a much stronger start than the season just gone, when weak early performances put paid to any hopes of a fourth straight title.

The opening fixtures also sees last season’s top two square up, with reigning champions Chester Boughton Hall hosting runners up Neston.

The season openers are scheduled to take place on Saturday April 19.

Nantwich will also be one of the eight seeded clubs for the T20 competition, which will feature eight groups of four teams playing each other, with group winers going to the quarter finals on July 10.

Meanwhile, Nantwich CC’s Whitehouse Lane ground has been selected to host a Cheshire Minor Counties fixture.

Cheshire will welcome Oxfordshire to Nantwich for a three-day game August 17-19.

Other grounds chosen to host Cheshire matches are Bramhall, Alderley Edge and Bowdon.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
