Residents of a Nantwich care home were given a helping hand by supermarket staff to raise cash for Breast Cancer Research.

Sainsbury’s in Nantwich helped staff and residents at Richmond Nantwich to raise nearly £200.

The Middlewich Road store donated a pink-themed hamper for a raffle.

The village and care home turned pink for the day in support of the charity.

And volunteer Fred Allman dressed appropriately in pink wig and feather boa, helped boost funds by staying silent all day.

Nicola Tooke, village advisor, said: “We are always pleased to help local and national charities and with Sainsbury’s help, we are delighted with the amount raised for such a worthwhile cause.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
