Nantwich Town produced a strong second half comeback to overcome lowly visitors Stocksbridge Park Steels.

A first goal for recent signing Steve Foster and a late Ben Deegan strike earned three points for the Dabbers.

And their second half showing was in stark contrast to a lacklustre first period.

The men in green struggled to create against a firm Steels defence in the first 45 minutes.

And they were punished when Danny South finished calmly on 21 minutes after latching on to a long ball out of defence by  Matthew Telling.

Alex Frost was close to levelling matters two minutes later with a thumping header at the back post which flew wide.

Steels goalkeeper Jack Ward made a fabulous save on 52 minutes to deny a trademark Max Harrop free-kick. The quality of the set piece perhaps deserved a goal.

Harrop was up to his tricks again on 57 minutes receiving a clever back heel from Foster to drill towards the Steels back post, but Harry Clayton could not make a telling touch.

Clayton whizzed the ball across goal on 64 minutes but a Steels defender cleared.

The pressure finally told on 71 minutes when Foster equalised with his first Nantwich goal after brilliant wing play from Harrop again.

Harrop earned his man of the match award with another fine assist on 85 minutes, clipping to the back post for Deegan to bury the winner for the second successive game.

The victory lifts Nantwich to 17th in the Evo-Stik Premier League, six points clear of the relegation places.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
