River Weaver flooding, Nantwich

The Environment Agency has warned of possible flooding of the River Weaver in Nantwich as a storm is about to hit the UK.

A Flood Alert has been issued for the Weaver catchment between Nantwich and Northwich over the next 24 hours.

If the predicted high levels of rain fall as the storm sweeps across Wales and Cheshire, river flooding on low lying land is expected.

A spokesman said: “Heavy rain is expected through the night and into tomorrow.

“This could result in some surface water flooding and minor river flooding to low lying land and road. Further updates will be given when necessary.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
