Shoppers and visitors enjoyed more live street entertainment in Nantwich town centre this weekend.

Local entertainers have been in town throughout the summer as part of a Nantwich Town Council-funded programme.

This weekend saw “Baxter” performing in the town square, with duo Hayley Strangelove and Paul Senior.

They sang an entertaining set, involving crowd participation, on the square between 11am and 2pm.

The final summer performance is next Saturday October 12 as part of the Nantwich Words and Music Festival.

The council’s programme of entertainment has included music, dance, theatre, art and special attractions for children.

Sue Togay, street entertainment organiser for the council, devised the programme for all age groups.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
