TV vet Steve Leonard is the celebrity lined up to switch on the Christmas Lights in Nantwich this year.

Leonard (pictured), who lives in Cheshire, is famous for hosting BBC shows including ”Orangutan Diaries” and “Vets in Practice”.

The 41-year-old has been a regular speaker at a range of events in South Cheshire, with close ties to Reaseheath College and RSPCA Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre.

He has also hosted talks at various exhibitions at Nantwich Museum, on Pillory Street.

Leonard was born in Ireland but the family moved to Cheshire when he was a baby. He was educated at The King’s School in Chester.

With his brother Tom, they run the Leonard Brothers Veterinary Centres in Wistaston and Whitchurch.

Nantwich Town Council is planning another day of celebration for the Christmas Lights switch-on, set to take place on Saturday November 30.

More details of other events and activities will be unveiled soon.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
