A man has been charged with a burglary and attempted burglary of houses in Nantwich.

John Joseph McNally, 39, was charged after the incidents took place on Manor Road North.

He is accused of breaking in to one home and attempted burglary of two other houses between 7.45am and 8.10am last Sunday September 8.

He will appear before Chester Crown Court on January 3, 2014.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and who saw anyone behaving suspiciously.

The area was busy with people attending the Nantwich Food and Drink Festival and the Nantwich Triathlon that morning.
