The Very Best in Stand Up returns to Nantwich Civic Hall for the first show of a new comedy season next week.
And the season, which consists of five shows up to and including the New Year’s Eve spectacular, kicks off with a fabulous line-up.
First up on Friday September 7 is compere and host Martin “BigPig” Mor, one of the most requested comedians to have played in Nantwich.
He’ll be joined by three comedians making their debuts in South Cheshire.
Canadian comedy star Sean Collins honed his unique storytelling style over 20 years.
In 2000, he earned two prestigious Canadian Comedy Award nominations for “Best Male Stand Up” and for his half-hour “Comic’s Comedy Special” on CBC.
He is now a headline act firmly established on the UK circuit, and has several television credits to his name, including “The World Stands Up Special” on Comedy Central, “The Comedy Store Television Show” on Paramount for 2005, 2006 and 2008, and 2010, the second series of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow on BBC1.
Rob Beckett, who is next up, is leading the pack of young British comics taking the circuit by storm.
He was originally scheduled to play earlier in the year but had to cancel.
Rob has appearances on “8 Out Of 10 Cats” and “Russell Howard’s Good News” to his name, as well as his own show currently in development.
The final act is multi-award winning Adam Bloom, one of Britain’s most inventive comedians.
He performed sell-out solo shows at seven Edinburgh Festivals as well as a sell-out tour of Britain.
He has also sold out theatres at festivals in Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Wellington and Cape Town as well as making three visits to “Just For Laughs” in Montreal.
In 2004, Adam was part of the “Just For Laughs Comedy Tour” playing to 42,000 people in 17 cities across Canada.
Promoter Jon Mitchell said: “We’re coming back with a bang as this bill features four very different and very brilliant acts.
“We’re absolutely stoked to have four acts of this level on the same line-up.”
Fellow promoter Mike Ramm added: “When Rob cancelled earlier this year and asked if he could play in September we knew this line-up would be something special.
“Comedy fans will be hard pressed to find a bill with this level of quality anywhere, let alone for £10.”
The September 7 show tickets are now available at £10 from Nantwich Civic Hall and www.civiccomedy.co.uk
Doors 7.15pm, show starts 8.15pm.
