A Nantwich family is appealing for help to find their missing Royal Python snake!

The eight-month-old slitherer gave their owners the slip in the garden at their London Road home in Stapeley.

And after a week of searching, there is still no sign of their two-and-a-half foot long pet.

Mum Ali Bailey said the snake escaped while her son Tom was playing with it in the back garden.

“We were distracted because our neighbour’s tortoise had gone missing and we joined in the search for that,” said Ali.

“Next thing we knew, the snake had vanished. We’ve looked everywhere, under every rock, and still no sign.”

The brown and yellow snake, which will grow to around 4 foot in length as an adult, normally lives in a vivarium in a temperature of 28 degs C.

“It will be enjoying the current hot weather and will be safe,” added Ali.

“But it could be in danger if nights begin to dip in temperature and days become cooler next month.

“It feeds off mice, and has been bred in captivity so is not a danger to people. We just want him back.”

If anyone sees the snake, they can contact Ali on 07979 352656, or 01270 611968.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
