Leighton Hospital

Patients who attend Leighton Hospital ’s Eye Care Centre for treatment on macular degeneration are invited to a new support group.

Staff from the Eye Care Centre will hold their first session, in association with Macular Society and the IRIS Vision Resource Centre, on Wednesday August 7.

They are encouraging patients and their family and friends to attend.

The session will be chaired by Venkat Kotamarthi, consultant ophthalmologist at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The event, which is free, will be taking place between 9am and midday at St Michael’s Church Hall in Ford Lane in Coppenhall, Crewe.

Attendees will be able to meet with some of the doctors and nurses from the Eye Care Centre, and also suggest topics for future support group meetings.

To book a place at the session, call 01270 273200.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
