Nantwich Town hope to continue their upturn in form when they welcome Frickley Athletic to the Weaver Stadium.

Frickley lag eight points behind Nantwich in the Evo-Stik Premier, having played a game more.

They have not won in the league for five games since their trip away to bottom-of-the-table Eastwood Town.

Nantwich have played with a youthful abandon of late, going unbeaten for four games and conceding only two goals with two clean sheets including one against table-toppers, North Ferriby United.

The solid defensive efforts have been aided by goalkeeper Jon Brain’s heroics which sees him stake a strong claim to win the club’s Player of the Year award for 2012/13 for the second consecutive season.

“Team spirit is the best it’s been for a long time and it’s showing on the pitch, we showed great character on Saturday,” said caretaker manager Darren Moss.

“Frickley are a hard-working team as we saw at their place. Their centre forward is a handful.

“But we know we can match any team now and are determined to keep our run going.”

Barring any late fitness issues, The Dabbers squad boasts a clean bill of health approaching the game, with midfielder Joe Guest back in contention.

Kick off tomorrow (Saturday April 20) is 3pm.

The former Crewe Alexandra youth player spent most of the season at the Weaver Stadium before joining AFC Fylde in February.

Cooke (pictured, right) said: “I had two fantastic seasons at Nantwich, it was my hometown club and it will always have a special place in my heart.

“I would like to thank all the people involved with the club and the wonderful supporters who always encouraged me and they are definitely among the best in the league!

“Whilst my priorities are now in hopefully helping my new club AFC Fylde to promotion, I’ll never forget the massive part that Nantwich Town has played in my career so far.”

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
