Wistaston residents flocked to see a Muller Property Group exhibition of their proposals for up to 1,500 homes in the village.

Scores of villagers took time out to view the plans and air their concerns to Muller representatives at The Woodside pub.

There were two large floor-standing displays replicating some of the information in the publicity leaflet posted to local residents.

There was also a ‘Public Consultation Feedback’ box for feedback forms.

Objections to the proposals include increase in traffic to the Middlewich Road and Church Lane areas along with the remainder of Wistaston, and the reduction in open space and recreation areas for exercise and social gathering.

Residents also voiced concerns about the impact on places at Wistaston Church Lane Primary and the lack of a secondary school on the plans with local secondary schools already at capacity.

The impact on existing health facilities and general blight of an urban expanse in a rural setting were also among objections.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
