Among a mixture of colours and incense, Nantwich Players Youth Theatre presents “Arabian Nights” this week, writes Claire Faulkner.

Directed by Kelly-Ann Davies, this production shines.

It proudly displays the talents of The Players’ younger members in a challenging production.

Each performer cleverly played a number of different roles, and often spoke directly to the audience as well as portraying their character.

Zoe Van-Cauter gave a great and strong performance as ‘Shahrazad’, a young woman, who through the power of storytelling saves the women of Arabia.

Among the many different characters, David Alexander was a great ‘Captain’ and ‘Vizier’, and watch out for Charlie Edleston as ‘Little Beggar’, who I’m sure is a star in the making.

‘Arabian Nights’, keeps the audience engaged throughout.

I would happily go back and watch this production again. Well done to everyone involved.

“Arabian Nights” is on at The Players Theatre on Love Lane, Nantwich until March 23.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
