Fire chiefs are probing a blaze which ripped through the roof of a house in Barbridge, Nantwich.

Two crews from Nantwich were called to the fire on Old Chester Road, Barbridge, where they found the blaze in the roof space of a detached house.

Firefighters tackled the fire from the outside.

They managed to extinguish the flames and then inspect the damage and check for other hotspots with a thermal imaging camera.

No one was injured in the incident at around 5.30pm yesterday (January 2).

Cheshire Fire and Rescue say an investigation to determine the cause is being carried out.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
