Nantwich Town welcome Ashton United to the Weaver Stadium for today’s Boxing Day clash.

The Dabbers are looking to extend their unbeaten run to six games and maintain their push for a playoff place.

Ashton currently occupy the final playoff spot and a win for Nantwich would guarantee a move into the division’s top six ahead of the final fixture of the year against Marine.

Danny Johnson’s Robins are the division’s surprise package and despite working on one of the tighter budgets in the division, lie fifth in the league with a game in hand on some rivals.

But recent form has seen Ashton slip from top of the table due to three consecutive defeats.

With 12 goals in their last five games Nantwich have propelled themselves up the league scoring charts, highlighting their attacking potency.

But today starts the run of three matches against promotion rivals, with Marine and Witton Albion to follow Ashton’s visit.

Kick-off today is at 3pm at the Weaver Stadium.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
