Santa Dash, Nantwich 2012

More than 150 people dressed as Santa and took part in the Nantwich Festive Fun Run.

The event, which was started by Stoke City star Ryan Shawcross, helped to boost funds for Hope House Children’s House.

Competitors took a dash from Nantwich town square, down Pepper Street, along Beam Street and then back up High Street.

And they made a mad dash for the finish line where they received Chatwins mince pies and medals.

First past the finish line was Elliot Moore, 20, from Nantwich, a criminology student at Hull University.

Second was Alex Cartney, 24, from Northwich, who works at ROI in Nantwich, and third was Chris Devaney, 30, Barclays Bank worker, from Middlewich.

Liz Southall, director of Redshift Radio, compered the proceedings.

Potters defender Shawcross, who attended the event with his two young children, is a big supporter of  the charity.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
