Santa in his Grotto in Nantwich Bookshop

By Jonathan White
Santa Claus has taken time off from his busy schedule to meet and hand out presents to Nantwich children.

He’s set up a Nantwich branch of his Grotto in the attic of Nantwich Bookshop in High Street, Nantwich town centre.

Santa and his helpers will be there every Saturday and Sunday in December from 10am to 4pm.

The dates are December 8-9, 15-16, and 22-23. Price is £3 per child, or £5 for two children.

There are gifts for boys and girls. It’s the fourth year Santa has set up his Grotto in the popular bookshop.

The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Nantwich Foundation Committee. Last year Santa’s Grotto raised £1,000.

This year’s money will go to Nantwich-based charities, as well as towards the global eradication of Polio.

Rotary Foundation chairman Nigel Ball said: “We are once again very grateful to Steve Lawson, the owner of Nantwich Bookshop, for his continued help and support in allowing us to raise money for worthwhile causes.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
