A51 Bypass crash

A couple suffered serious injuries in a road accident on the A49 near Ridley.

The collision closed the Tarporley Road in both directions at Bradley Green, north of Whitchurch, causing traffic chaos.

Two cars were involved, and a man and woman were taken to North Staffordshire Hospital with serious injuries at around 7.45am today (November 29)

Police, fire and the air ambulance attended the scene. The A49 was closed whilst the vehicles were removed from the scene. The road has now fully reopened.

Witnesses or anyone with information in relation to this incident is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 121 of 29 November.

There were also long tailbacks earlier after an accident on the A51 between the Red Fox and Bunbury Mill.

Police had to close the road in both directions between the Bluestone lights at Acton and the Tarporley crossroads.

Cheshire East highways re-opened the road at around 2pm.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
