A remembrance service will take place next week to celebrate lives of children and babies born at Leighton Hospital.

The annual service, organised by Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT), is  at St Peter’s Church in Minshull Vernon on Saturday November 10 at 3pm.

Parents, friends and relatives are invited to come along to remember young loved ones who died either before, during or after birth.

Lynn Pessol, ward manager for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at MCHFT, said: “We hold these services each year for families who have suffered the loss of a baby or child.

“It not only provides an opportunity for patients, relatives and friends to meet together and talk about their personal experiences, but also helps families cope with their great sense of personal loss.”

The service will include an act of remembrance and the lighting of candles. It is designed to be a quiet, reflective and supportive occasion and all are welcome to attend.

For details and to register attendance contact 01270 612077.

If you are unable to attend but would like a candle to be lit on your child’s behalf, contact the unit on the same number or email Lynn Pessol on [email protected]

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
