Cheerbrook Farm Shop in Nantwich has been nominated for the prestigious “Rural Oscars”.
The store, off Newcastle Road, has been nominated for the Butcher’s Award in the Countryside Alliance Awards which aim to celebrate rural life, produce and communities.
Nicknamed “The Rural Oscars”, awards celebrate people in rural communities going the extra mile to ensure rural Britain’s food and farming industry, small businesses, traditional skills, forward-thinking enterprises and, most of all, its people, can flourish.
Awards are nomination-led, and residents can nominate who they think is the best in their area in each category along with what makes their choice so special.
The first round is judged on public support who can back their choice online at www.countrysideallianceawards.co.uk or fill in a form at Cheerbrook.
Cheerbrook owner Andrew Shufflebotham said: “These awards are a real boost for the local businesses which are working hard to keep rural Britain ticking here in Cheshire.
