Fred Allman, Nantwich Richmond Village activities officer

Richmond Village Nantwich is celebrating reaching the finals of the Great North West Care Awards in two categories.

The centre, off London Road, is a finalist for the North West’s Care Employer of the Year.

And activities organiser Fred Allman (pictured) has reached the final in the activities category.

Last year, hospitality manager Debbie Mercandelli scooped “Great British Care Award Winner for Hydration and Nutrition”, while the previous year Richmond Nantwich won “Great North West Care Award for Care Employer of the Year”.

They will compete against other care homes and activity organisers to win a place to represent the North West at the Great British Care Awards in London next year.

Judging takes place tonight (September 18) with results announced at an awards ceremony in Blackpool on October 12.

Lynne Griffin, village manager, said: “We are all absolutely delighted both the village and Fred have been recognised in this way.

“It is a huge achievement to have reached the finals in a category for the third year running – we are all very excited.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
