A man has been charged with the murder of South Cheshire woman Diana Lee.

David Ryan, 47, is due to appear at Crewe Magistrates today (September 5) to face the charge.

Ryan, of Hale in Altrincham, was charged and remanded in custody following an investigation by Cheshire Police.

Diana, 54, (pictured) was found in the garage at her home in Byley Lane, Cranage, near Holmes Chapel, on the morning of Thursday August 9.

Her body was discovered by emergency services who responded to reports of a fire at her home.
