Road accident Peter de Stapleigh Way, Nantwich, August 2012

A woman was badly injured after an accident at a busy Nantwich road junction today.

The two-vehicle collision happened at the junction of the A5301 Peter de Stapleigh Way and the A51 London Road/Elwood Way, in Stapeley.

Emergency services closed off Peter de Stapleigh Way to traffic heading away from the Audlem Road end of Nantwich from about 6.45am.

Paramedics and fire and rescue crews were also called to help free and treat the injured.

A police spokeswoman said the woman, in her 40s, was taken to Leighton Hospital suffering back and leg injuries.

The collision involved a red Skoda Citigo and a white Seat Leon.

Both cars were removed from the scene and debris cleared from the road which re-opened at about 8.30am.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
