Richmond Village Nantwich rounded off a week of competition as it celebrated the Olympics in its own style.
Different events were held at the Care Home and Retirement Village off London Road involving residents and staff.
And it brought out competitive streaks in many as well as provide plenty of fun and laughter.
This was especially true of the giant “Jenga” competition, the challenging “welly–wanging” afternoon, and the eventful balloon volleyball.
Gold medals were awarded to the winners and the closing ceremony was attended by Olwyn Payton, from Sainsbury’s in Nantwich, who donated prizes.
Olwyn said: “It is obvious everyone had had a wonderful time either taking part or just watching.
“It would be wonderful if Richmond Village could repeat the sports events next year and I might even take part!”
Prize winners included Jean Smith, Jean Jackson, Margaret Wooldridge and Mr Robertson.
