Former Gingerbread day nursery in Nantwich taken over by Little Angels

A Nantwich childcare provider is expanding into additional premises in the town.

Little Angels is to open a day nursery in the former Gingerbread House facility on Regents Park, London Road, Nantwich.

And the provider aims to have the new day nursery open from September.

Little Angels already runs pre-school facility at Weaver Primary School, on Western Avenue, where it also runs breakfast, after school and holiday clubs.

It also runs breakfast and after school care at Willaston Primary School and Wyche Primary, Nantwich.

Owners of the nursery are staging an Open Day on Friday August 31, from 11am to 6pm.

A spokeswoman said: “Little Angels is pleased to announce we have acquired additional facilities in Nantwich due to our growing demand for places and to offer additional services to the families within the community.

“Our day nursery is located within the grounds of Elim church which is situated in Regents Park, off London Road.”

The site has had a troubled recent history. Woodlands Nursery was forced to close after previous owners CoG7 pulled out of the Elim-owned Regents Park site, leaving a number of nursery staff out of work.

It was recently re-opened as Gingerbread House day nursery, offering day play sessions, but was closed down again a few weeks ago.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

  1. I wonder how many residents have been consulted on this, after all I’m sure there must be a planning issue here. The intended hours of operation go far beyond those of an ordinary school.
