Nantwich Litter Group

Nantwich Litter Group is planning further blitzes on rubbish as the town prepares to welcome Britain in Bloom judges.

The tean held its latest “Group Pick” in the Barony Park area, led by team leader Joyce Webb.

Volunteers tackled an area stretching from the Beam Street traffic lights to Sainsbury’s on Middlewich Road, and down to the the river bridge.

The bulk of rubbish collected consisted of cans, bottles, fast-food wrappers, sweet papers and crisp packets.

More bizarre items were odd shoes, wheel trims and dog poo bags filled and then thrown into bushes.

The next “Group Pick” activities will be to support the Nantwich in Bloom team to ensure the town is looking at its best for the NW Regional Judging of Britain in Bloom and the RHS National Finals.

Volunteers are invited to meet in Nantwich town square this Wednesday July18 at 6pm and Thursday August 2 at 6pm.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
