A man was airlifted to hospital after a serious road accident near Nantwich.
The two-car collision left one driver trapped at the scene on Cholmondeley Road, opposite the Cholmondeley Arms pub.
Fire crews from Nantwich and Whitchurch had to cut the roof off one of the saloon vehicles to free the injured man, who has not been named.
He transferred to Leighton Hospital by air ambulance following the incident at about 9am yesterday (June 13).
