More than 1,000 women have now signed up for the fund-raising Crewe to Nantwich Midnight Walk next month.

And St Luke’s Hospice (Cheshire) has also been inundated by helpers willing to be stewards after issuing an appeal.

So far 1,050 have registered to take part in the walk on June 9.

They will be walking around 13 miles through the night to raise money for St Luke’s.

And there is still time to register and take part. Closing date for signing up is Friday June 1.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
