Police were called to a church hall in Nantwich after workmen found a human skull.
The discovery was made by men renovating parts of St Mary’s Parish Hall, on Church Walk.
Police officers and forensic teams were called to the hall at 12.25pm today (May 17).
A Cheshire Police spokesman said there were “no suspicious circumstances”.
It is believed the men may have uncovered a very old burial plot.
