New Stapeley community hall

Council chiefs are looking for volunteers to help run a new community hall in Nantwich.

Stapeley Parish Council is taking over the lease of the new community hall on Pear Tree Field from Cheshire East Council.

A spokeswoman said legal issues still to need to be “ironed out” before the takeover is completed.

But parish councillors are keen to appoint members of the community to help run the hall.

They are staging a public debate at Pear Tree School on Thursday May 17 at 7.30pm. Anyone interested is urged to attend.

Sandy Gwinn-Freemantle, chairman of the parish council, said: “We hope local residents will attend the meeting.

“We will be discussing a variety of issues which are close to the heart of residents, and the building of this hall has been incredibly important to local people for years.

“We know that many groups want to use it, but we really need people who are willing to run it.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
