Produced and directed by Ian Dickens, ‘An Eligible Man’ will surprise and please audiences at Crewe’s Lyceum this week.

The charming comedy tells the story of Charles, a recent widower who finds himself trying to cope with life on his own.

Then suddenly he is surrounded by female admirers who realise he is now available.

John D Collins as ‘Charles’ gave a great performance.

On stage for almost the entire production, he was superbly cast opposite his caring and supportive daughter ‘Evie’, played by Poppy Meadows.

The three leading ladies performed their very different characters with complete style and grace.

I must mention the brilliant performance by Carol Harrison as ‘Lucille’, who had the audience in the palm of her hand.

A woman born to act, Harrison delighted the entire theatre with her comic timing and charm.

Paula Stockbridge as ‘Sally’ and Karen Ford as ‘Jo’ are also trying to win ‘Charles’ affection. With three ladies after him, what will he do?

‘An Eligible Man’ is playing at The Lyceum Theatre until Saturday (April 28).

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
