Nantwich Town pulled off a stunning victory in the Cheshire Senior Cup final, beating Stalybridge from the league above 1-0.

Michael Lennon’s strike late in the first half was enough to bring home the silverware to the Weaver Stadium.

Hundreds of Dabbers fans danced for joy at the final whistle at Chester’s Exacta Stadium last night (April 24).

Jimmy Quinn’s side showed grit and fighting spirit to hang on against their Blue Square Bet North opponents and land the trophy.

It is only the fourth time in the club’s 128-year history that Nantwich have won the Cheshire Senior Cup.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
