john iveson, murder victim 480x260

A jury has acquitted two men of the murder of Nantwich businessman John Iveson.

Mark Done and Paul Billington were today (April 13) found not guilty of the murder of Mr Iveson, whose has never been found after he disappeared in January 2007.

Mr Done, 47, of Old Chester Road, Barbridge, Nantwich, and Mr Billington, 39, from Llyndir Lane, Rossett, near Chester, were accused of killing and disposing of father-of-six Mr Iveson’s body.

However, after a lengthy trial, a jury at Chester Crown Court today took around 90 minutes to find both men not guilty of killing the 36-year-old.

A Cheshire Police spokesman issued the following statement: “Cheshire Police presented a file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service who directed that a prosecution case should be pursued on the basis of a murder charge.

“We note the decision of the court to find them not guilty.”

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
