Morrisons, Nantwich

Police are trying to trace an elderly driver after an accident in a Nantwich supermarket car park left a woman with a broken foot and wrist.

The collision happened in the Morrisons car park, off Station Road, as the victim was putting her shopping trolley back in the trolley park.

A car driven by a man believed to be in his 80s ran over her foot, trapping her and causing her to fall over.

The driver stopped to ask if she was okay and when she said she was he drove off in a silver or grey Ford Fiesta without leaving details.

PC Nicola Berry said: “As it transpired the woman was treated for a broken small bone in her foot and a broken wrist.

“As a result I would like the driver to get in touch with me so that I can establish the full circumstances of the incident.”

The driver can contact PC Berry by calling 101 and quoting incident number 825 of 14 March 2012.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
