A51 Bypass crash

A cyclist was seriously injured following a fail to stop road traffic collision near Nantwich.

A woman was riding her pedal cycle on the A525 Whitchurch Road near Audlem when it collided with a dark 4×4 car towing a trailer.

The driver failed to stop at the scene after the incident at around 11.45am on Saturday March 17.

The woman, who has not been named, suffered serious injuries to her back and facial injuries, and was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

Cheshire Police closed the A525 for around two and a half hours to allow for collision investigation work to take place.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 419 of 17 March.
