A Nantwich man has been killed after being hit by a car which allegedly failed to stop at the scene.
Ryan Adamson (pictured), 25, died in the incident near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, where he had been on a work placement.
Police say Liverpool fan Ryan was struck by a vehicle late on Thursday night by a light or silver saloon car which drove off.
Paying tribute to the former Weaverham School pupil, his family said: “Ryan was born in Nantwich in 1986. He grew up with his brothers and sisters and loved them all dearly.
“This work placement was a great opportunity for Ryan, improving not only his future prospects but also his social and personal life.
“Ryan was such a hard working person who took a great deal of pride in all that he did.
“He loved his sport and in particular had a love of Liverpool Football Club. Ryan enjoyed the banter he had with his dad, who is a Manchester United supporter, which will sadly happen no more.
“He was a fun loving person who had so many friends, as we have found out by all the lovely tributes we have received. He had a great sense of humour and was well known in the local area by so many people.
“Ryan was part of a large family who are devastated by his tragic death. Ryan will be missed terribly by all his family and friends. He was a fantastic person who cannot be replaced. Ryan did not deserve to die so young.”
The family has joined police in appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Sgt Peter Jell, of Thames Valley Police, said: “We continue to focus our investigation on identifying the car involved, which we believe is a light or silver-coloured saloon car.
“This is a tragic loss for Ryan’s family and friends and our thoughts are with them. I make a direct appeal to the driver involved or anyone who may have information about the car or the driver to come forward urgently.”
Three men, aged 22, 24 and 38, were arrested on suspicion of murder and have been released on bail until April 23.
